RAPID BIKE USA

Emissions Compliance Disclaimer — California CARB & Federal EPA

Last updated: August 29, 2026

1. Purpose

Rapid Bike USA sells Rapid Bike fuel management systems manufactured in Italy by Dimsport. This notice explains California's legal restrictions on aftermarket devices that can affect a motor vehicle's emissions performance, and the terms on which our products may be purchased, installed, and used in California. It is a general compliance notice, not legal advice — contact CARB or a licensed smog check referee with vehicle-specific questions. Note that CARB is California's own air quality regulator, separate from the U.S. Environmental

Protection Agency (EPA), which sets federal emissions standards; a part's status with one agency does not determine its status with the other.

2. California Law

California Vehicle Code §§ 27156 and 38391 prohibit the sale, advertisement, or installation of any device that alters a required emission control system unless CARB has exempted it. Title 13, CCR §§ 2222–2225 (on-highway) and §§ 2472 and 2474 (off-road) set out CARB's Executive Order (EO) certification process for such aftermarket parts. Under this framework, an emissions-related part may lawfully be sold, installed, or used on a street-legal California vehicle only if CARB has issued an EO for that exact part, make, model, and model year — or if the vehicle is dedicated solely to closed-course competition and never operated on a public highway.

3. Status of Rapid Bike Products

Unless a specific Rapid Bike part number's listing expressly states it is covered by a current CARB EO for your exact motorcycle, treat it as not legal for installation or use on a pollution-controlled motorcycle operated on public roads in California — intended for sale and use only on vehicles dedicated to closed-course competition, racing, or off-road use. CARB EOs are issued part-by-part; legality elsewhere, or another manufacturer's EO, does not make a given Rapid Bike part CARB-exempt. Verifying current EO status for your specific product and vehicle is the buyer's responsibility.

4. Buyer Responsibility & Liability

By purchasing or installing a Rapid Bike product for use in California, you agree that you are solely responsible for confirming its legality for your vehicle and use, and that you will not install or use it on a public-highway vehiclewithout an applicable CARB EO. California law imposes strict liability for non-exempt parts, and CARB may pursue any party in the supply chain — including sellers, installers, and end users. Rapid Bike USA is not responsible for penalties, fines, or smog-check or registration issues arising from noncompliant use.

5. Federal (Non-CARB) Notice: Not EPA-Certified

Separate from California's requirements, federal law also restricts aftermarket parts that can affect emissions, and this applies nationwide — not only in California. Rapid Bike fuel management products are not certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as compliant with federal motor vehicle emissions standards unless a specific product's listing states otherwise.

Under the federal Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. § 7522(a)(3)), it is unlawful for any person to manufacture, sell, or install a part or device where a principal effect is to bypass, defeat, or render inoperative an EPA-certified vehicle's emission control system, and it is separately unlawful for any person to cause such tampering. These products are intended for sale and use only on vehicles dedicated solely to closed-course competition and never operated on public roads or highways. Installing or using this product on a street-registered, EPA-certified vehicle may violate the Clean Air Act regardless of your state, and may expose the installer, seller, or owner to EPA enforcement action.

Rapid Bike USA is not responsible for penalties or consequences arising from noncompliant use.
